In order to achieve the new League
structure for the 2013 season, the following promotions and
relegations will apply at the end of the 2012 season:
CD1 – 2 up to SEPL (subject to
accreditation), 3 down to CD2
CD2 – 3 up to CD1, 3 down to CD3
CD3 – 3 up to CD2, 2 down to CD4
CD4 – Top 10 in each division to CD3,
Bottom 2 in each division to RD1 (20 teams promoted)
RD1 – Top 11 in each division to CD4,
Bottom 2 in each division to RD2 (22 teams promoted)
RD2 – Top 10 in each division to RD1,
Bottom 2 in each division to RD3 (40 teams promoted)
RD3 – Top 6 in each division plus the 2
best 7th place points averages to RD2, Bottom 2 in each division to
RD4 (26 teams promoted)
RD4 – Top 3 from the 18 team divisions
& Top 2 from the 10 team division to RD3, additional promotions will
then be given to the teams with the next best points averages across
all 5 divisions at RD4 level until all divisions in RD3 are
populated
Additional promotions will be given to
replace spaces made by teams having withdrawn, by promoting the next
team at each position with the next best points average
Relegations will still apply in divisions that begin the season with
a team short, or for any division that a team withdraws during the
season up to and including week 14 (August 4th). Teams withdrawing
after this date will be considered as one of the relegated positions
The league may consider giving a team
an extra promotion, of more than one division, under exceptional
circumstances, but only if there is a space available vacated by a
club having withdrawn
Promotion
will still be subject to those teams having the required ground
standard for the level they are moving up to
Once
promotions and relegations have been determined regionalisation will
then take place |
