Football hard
standing and Cricket grounds
Football leagues often
require their clubs to have a hard standing around the pitch.
Occasionally the football pitch hard standing encroachs on the outer
edge of cricket grounds.
In these
circumstances the HCL Grounds Committee considers the use of either of
these approaches acceptable:-
1. AstroTurf -
probably permanently fixed.
2. Green plastic webbed reinforcement. The grass can grow through
in the winter and the plastic could be lifted in the spring after
the football season ends and relayed in the autumn as conditions
require.
